Install Dual Boot Windows XP and Windows 7 in a Hard Disk

Need 2 OS in one hard disk. Want to keep Windows XP but want to try the latest Windows 7. There are easy techniques to install the 2nd OS.

Preparation before installing, and installing Windows XP

The initial steps:

To partition a hard drive with 2 partitions or more. At least two partitions, C and D. C partition should use the FAT format. For example, only use a maximum capacity of 30GB for Windows XP. And reserving a partition into two partitions eg D, and format with NTFS. Why did it NTFS format, later part of the partition D is used for the OS Windows 7, whereas the C partition used for Windows XP. Windows 7 can only be installed to the partition with NTFS format.

7. After selecting the Custom option to install will display the partition for Windows 7. As the description above, as the assumption that Drive D is in the fox by the name of the drive letter X. Just choose the partition to the empty 2 with NTFS format. Note, Windows 7 can only be installed to an NTFS partition, but can not install to a FAT partition.
